Collection & Use of Personal Information

When accessing and registering on the CSIRO Technical Services Online Portal, a record of your visit is logged and you will also be required to submit other information, including personal information as defined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (“Personal Information”) to CSIRO.

Any Personal Information CSIRO collects from you will be treated in a manner consistent with CSIRO’s Australian Privacy Principles policies and procedures http://www.csiro.au/en/About/Access-to-information/Privacy

When you email us, we will:

• Record your email address;
• Use your email address to communicate with you about the service(s) you enquire about; and
• Not disclose your email address without your consent, except where we may be required by law to disclose certain information.

When you place an order, we will:

• Record your name and relevant addresses as required to confirm, bill and deliver your order; and
• Add your email address to our mailing list and may send you information on related services which can be initiated via this Online Portal. You can request to be taken off our mailing list at any time.

Third party authentication

Using the CSIRO Technical Services Portal will also require authentication using third party websites (eg Google or Windows Live) that operate under their own privacy policies. These are available on their websites.
